Your bench or picnic table in a Sonoma County Regional Park is a lasting tribute — a place where people pause, reflect, and connect. Thank you for making that possible!
Why Did I Receive a Postcard?
There are over 600 bench and picnic table projects across the county. Half of them have been sponsored under our current 10-year sponsorship agreement.
The other half includes benches and tables sponsored prior to 2014, many as far back as the 1990s and early 2000s! To simplify the management of this popular program and help keep it viable, Sonoma County Regional Parks would like to fold these older projects into the current 10-year sponsorship cycle.
Preserve Your Memories and Support Your Favorite Park
If your bench or picnic table remains a meaningful place for you and your family, the Parks Foundation invites you to renew your commitment to the parks by joining our current 10-year sponsorship program. The Sonoma County Parks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so gifts can be considered charitable contributions for tax purposes.
Discount for Returning Donors
Naturally, sponsorship levels have increased over the years. Today, standard sites are available for a gift of $3,500, while premium sites (exceptional vistas, lakeside, or beachfront settings) are available for a $5,500 donation.
We understand donations of this size are significant, so we’re offering a reduced renewal rate for returning donors:

Your bench or picnic table will remain on property until another donor shows interest in the site. If re-sponsored, we can return the plaque to you, preserved in a block of wood, as a special keepsake.
Many parks have a a waitlist of donors hoping to honor a loved one with a bench or picnic table. Releasing a site allows other families to enjoy this popular program. Making your site available also helps the Parks Foundation continue fundraising efforts that support enhancements and special projects within our amazing network of 60+ Regional Parks!
Need Some Time to Think?
We understand the renewal gift is a significant one. While making your decision, your bench or picnic table is not in any danger of being removed.
