Thank you FUNKY FRIDAYS @ The Hood for supporting Regional Parks!

The Parks Foundation has been thrilled to be the sponsor and beneficiary of the Funky Fridays @ The Hood outdoor concert series. In its fourth year at the historic Hood Mansion grounds, the 2019 summer concert series featured a stellar line-up of performers, with proceeds benefiting special projects at regional parks throughout Sonoma Valley. At three nights of Audience Choice awards, attendees voted for the Regional Parks projects they wanted their dollars to support. The projects that were awarded $5,000 each are a van for the youth crew,  trails at Hood Mountain and updates to Maxwell Farms Regional Park.
Funky Fridays founders, Linda Pavlak and Bill Myers shared this message in February 2020:

"FAREWELL TO FUNKY FRIDAYS
The Funky Fridays seven-year history of dedication to raising funds for local State and Regional Parks through live music has ended. The founding partners, Bill Myers and Linda Pavlak, faced the reality of Linda's two-year battle against post-cancer related health issues. In early October Linda moved to Ohio for family support and further surgeries at the Cleveland Clinic. The Funky Fridays annual summer concert series, most recently held on the grounds of the Hood Mansion, ended successfully August, 2019 with attendance soaring to nearly 1,500 guests for the final performance. Through the years hundreds of musicians, volunteers and attendees joined hands to help create, build and grow this community event to be long-remembered.  Bill and Linda will be forever grateful for the thousands of friends supporting their fundraising endeavors. Thanks for supporting our parks through live music."
