Parks Foundation Provides Much-Needed “Camperships”
Following a time of isolation due to the pandemic, summer camps are more important than ever for children to re-engage with their peers in person, learn about our outdoor spaces, and participate in healthy outdoor activities.
During summer, dozens of campers will converge at Ragle Ranch, Riverfront and Spring Lake Regional Parks for Regional Parks’ Discovery Camps. During these two-week-long camps held in June, July and August, kids will take discovery walks, get creative, conduct experiments, and look for critters. Some of the outdoor recreational activities that they’ll enjoy will include creek exploration, kayaking, fishing, standup paddle boarding, sports, games and more!
The Parks Foundation offer “camperships” to support families with limited resources, which cover more than one-quarter of the cost of the camp; total camp cost is $550. We plan to assist 100 families.
Your donation of $150 will send a child to camp this summer!
