Meet Our Team

Melissa Kelley, Executive Director

Melissa has a long history of service to Sonoma County’s nonprofit community as a consultant, board member and volunteer. Executive Director of the Parks Foundation since 2011, Melissa is especially proud of her work supporting Regional Parks’ environmental education programs, building new trails, and restoring historic buildings like the Ft. Ross Schoolhouse. Prior to this position, she worked as executive director of the Sonoma County Book Festival, and she provided management and marketing support to leading Sonoma County nonprofits and public agencies for more than a decade. Melissa holds an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business with a specialization in marketing and nonprofit management and graduated with honors from Duke University. In 2017 she was recognized as a leading Sonoma County nonprofit executive through the North Bay Nonprofit Leadership Awards.

Development Specialist

Jodie joined the Foundation in 2020 to help oversee daily operations, manage the commemorative gifts program, and provide development and donor relations support. With 20 years of nonprofit communications and marketing experience, she has worked for two U.S. Senators, The Marine Mammal Center, and SSU’s Theatre Arts & Dance Department. Originally from Kansas, Jodie received her BA in International Relations & Political Science from UC Santa Barbara. With a lifelong passion for the environment and wildlife conservation, she enjoys visiting parks with her family and dog Gigi.

Administrative Assistant

Amanda is a nearly lifelong Sonoma County resident, except for several years in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she earned a B.S. in Travel Industry Management from the University of Hawaii. With a background in administrative services and tasting room hospitality, Amanda brings strong customer service skills and a great attitude to her new position. She processes donor acknowledgements, provides support at board meetings, and assists with events like our special Donor Preview Days.

Marketing & Development Consultant

Linda has supported the Parks Foundation's work since 2018, utilizing her background as a marketing and communications executive across multiple industries including media, consumer products and financial services. A transplant to Sonoma Valley from Marin County, Linda was as a Mill Valley Parks and Recreation Commissioner for 6 years. She has served on the boards of the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Volunteer Center, The Outdoor Art Club and the Sonoma Plein Air Foundation. Linda attended the Fund Raising School, a program of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and is a graduate of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

The Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation raises funds, fosters partnerships and advocates on behalf of Sonoma County Regional Parks. We are an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports programs and projects at 60+ Sonoma County parks and trails, including popular destinations like Spring Lake, Doran Beach, Sonoma Valley, Ragle Ranch, Foothill Regional Park, Tolay Lake Regional Park and more.
