Ragle Ranch Soccer Fields

DONATE

Help us transform this park for the youth of West Sonoma County!

Picture
Ragle Ranch Regional Park is a beloved green space in the community, where families and friends come together to enjoy the outdoors. The fields serve as a hub for recreation, sports, community gatherings, and engaging our youth with the outdoors. However, over time, wear and tear and significant gopher damage have taken their toll on this cherished space.

In partnership with Sonoma County Regional Parks and local community members, WESCO United Soccer Club is repairing the Ragle Ranch sport fields, ensuring that they remain a vibrant and accessible space for our West County community. With the collective efforts of our community, this vision can become a reality!

The local WESCO soccer program has experienced continuous growth in recent years, now serving more than 1,200 local youths, with the dedicated support of over 250 volunteer board members, coaches, and family members. This increase in interest has placed a strain on existing facilities. With limited high-quality playing surfaces, young athletes often struggle to find available fields for practice and games. As a result, the quality of the experience is diminished and the value that organized sports provides in fostering teamwork, discipline, physical fitness, and mental well-being is compromised.

In 2023 with the partnership of Sonoma County Regional Parks and donations from local contracting services and community members, Ragle Ranch Field 1 was successfully re-constructed. The process included soil compaction techniques, along with gopher wire underlayment to protect the grass from gopher intrusion. We are now focused on an ambitious project to re-construct Fields 2 through 9, raising funds and hiring professional contractors.

The impact of your generosity extends far beyond the soccer fields. By investing in the revitalization of Ragle Ranch Regional Park, you are also investing in the physical and mental well-being of our youth, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a love for the outdoors.

Fields, Phases and Estimated Costs: Your Support Can Make This Happen!
