No purchase necessary to enter or win. The Spring Lake Regional Park 50th Anniversary Scavenger Hunt is open to residents or visitors in Sonoma County. The Scavenger Hunt begins May 1, 2023.
Each individual or family may submit one entry per family each month during May, June, July and August 2023. Five winners will be drawn from all completed entries on these dates: May 31, June 30, July 31 and August 31.
Entrants who do not win during the month will be rolled over to the following month. Entries must be received no later than noon, August 31, 2023. Please follow these rules and guidelines when participating in the Scavenger Hunt:
- Please stay on official park trails and participate only during Spring Lake Park open hours.
- No clues will be unsafe to reach or located in a restricted area. For example, you will not need to look through blackberry bushes, dig in the ground, or climb a tree to reach a clue.
- Do not disturb wildlife in the park.
- Be sure to complete your entry form, including your name and contact information, so we can contact you if you’re a winner! Winners will receive an official Spring Lake 50th Anniversary bandana.

No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. The Spring Lake Regional Park 50th Anniversary Scavenger Hunt is sponsored by the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation (“Sponsor”). Open to residents or visitors in Sonoma County. The Scavenger Hunt begins May 1, 2023. One entry per family per month. Winners will be drawn from all entrants on the following dates: May 31, June 30, July 31 and August 31. The contest will end on August 31. Participants may be any age, but any participant who is a minor in his or her state of residence must have permission from a parent/guardian before participating or entering the drawings.
1.Scavenger Hunt Period: The Spring Lake Regional Park 50th Anniversary Scavenger Hunt (“Event”), is a one-time event hosted by the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation, between May 1, 2023 and August 31, 2023.
2.Eligibility: Open to residents or visitors to the County of Sonoma. Employees or board members of the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation or Sonoma County Regional Parks, as well as their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household, are not eligible to win.
3.How to Enter: There are two (2) ways to enter. First, download and print an entry from www.SonomaCountyParksFoundation.org. Visit Spring Lake Regional Park, solve each of the clues, and clearly and correctly answer the questions on the entry form. You may mail the entry to Sonoma County Parks Foundation, 2300 County Center Dr., #120A, Santa Rosa, CA 95403or submit your answers online at www.SonomaCountyParksFoundation.org.
Each household may submit one completed entry each month for the months of May, June, July and August. A random drawing of all correctly completed entries will be held each month, with five (5) entries winning a prize of a commemorative Spring Lake 50th Anniversary bandana. Entrants that are not drawn as a monthly winner will roll over into the subsequent month’s drawing. Entrants that are drawn as a winner will be removed from subsequent monthly drawings. All entries must be correctly completed and submitted prior to noon on the last day of each month to be eligible for that month’s drawing. The final drawing will be held at noon on August 31, 2023.
4.General Rules: Prize is nontransferable and no cash substitution is allowed. Prize winners will be listed in the Sonoma County Parks Foundation monthly newsletter, which you can sign up for at https://www.sonomacountyparksfoundation.org/e-news.html. Parks Foundation staff or board members also may contact winners via email.

Each participant, or a parent/legal guardian on behalf of a participant who is a minor in his/her state of residence, as a condition of participating in the Scavenger Hunt, agrees to release and hold harmless the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation, Sonoma County Regional Parks, Sonoma Water, and each of their respective agencies, parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and each of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, members, employees, agents, and assigns (collectively the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with participating in any aspect of the Scavenger Hunt, submitting an Entry in connection with the Scavenger Hunt, the receipt, ownership or use of prize awarded, or any typographical or other error in these Official Rules or the announcement or offering of the prize. The Released Parties are not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications or print communications, whether caused by the sender, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Scavenger Hunt which may limit the ability to participate, delays or misdelivery of entries by the U.S. Postal Service, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the Entries in the Scavenger Hunt.
6.As a condition of entering the Scavenger Hunt, participant (or parent/legal guardian if participant is a minor in his/her state of residence) agrees that: 1) Participant is voluntarily participating in the Scavenger Hunt and voluntarily assumes all risks inherent to participation in the Scavenger Hunt; (2) Except for damages caused solely by the gross negligence or intentional misconduct of a director, officer, employee, or agent of the Sponsor, participant hereby waives all rights to claim any damages, including any punitive, incidental, consequential, travel or any other damages; 2) all causes of action arising out of or connected with the Scavenger Hunt, or prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and 3) in no event will participant be entitled to receive attorneys’ fees or other legal costs.
7.Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name, likeness, and Entry, excluding contact information, and photographs for promotional purposes (including any possible public relations opportunities) without further compensation except where prohibited by law. By participating in the Scavenger Hunt, the participant accepts and agrees to be bound by the Official Rules and these Terms and Conditions.
8.Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Scavenger Hunt; violates the Official Rules; acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner; or acts with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person or wildlife. Entries generated by script or bot are not eligible. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Scavenger Hunt if it cannot be completed as planned for any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures or corruption of any sort. In such event, Sponsor will award prizes in a random drawing from eligible Entries received prior to cancellation or the end of the Scavenger Hunt Period, whichever occurs first. Void where prohibited by law and subject to all federal, state and local laws.
