Spring Lake Regional Park
Spring Lake Regional Park in Santa Rosa is one of Sonoma County's most popular parks. With nearly 10 miles of trails, the park is a favorite destination for hiking, running, birdwatching, kayaking, and biking. Trails include an easy paved route around the lake – a favorite of local residents of all ages.
The Spring Lake swimming lagoon is a center of activity for Regional Parks summer camps, which are supported by Foundation Donors. Camperships to these two-week, day-long sessions allow kids to discover their natural surroundings, conduct experiments, go fishing and learn a new paddle sport.
Each fall, the Foundation hosts a multi-weekend off-leash dog party known as the Water Bark. Upon the close of the summer swim season, dog owners are invited to let their pets swim and play in the lagoon before it is drained for the year.
The Environmental Discovery Center, created in partnership with the Sonoma County Water Agency and with donations to the Foundation, is a hub for nature education and field trips for Sonoma County youth. It also operates on weekends for junior scientists to enjoy a kids-only science activity hour, while adults can head out into the park to enjoy rejuvenating, kid-free time in nature!
The nonprofit Sonoma County Parks Foundation supports Spring Lake Regional Park and 57 other parks in the Regional Parks system. Your donation to the Parks Foundation helps keep our parks strong!
